State Funded Workforce Training Programs

Q: I’m doing some research about peer institutions in states that provide FTE or other funding such as subsidies for non-credit workforce training.  In NM we receive a small subsidy from the Sec of Higher Education to apply towards non-credit workforce training contracts. I know that Texas has non-credit FTE funding as does MN for new programs and I found some good information, although dated, in the attached AACC report. Does LERN have information on various state funding programs for workforce training or do you have any idea of where I might find additional information?  Any help would be appreciated.

A: We have posted your question in our LinkedIn discussion group, and have had a good response from members about states that provide FTE or other subsidies for non-credit workforce training. LogIn to our LinkedIn group and visit the Workforce Development subgroup to see the conversation.
