Q: Like most Recreation marketing departments, I put out a marketing report to our Board of Commissioners every month. I would love to come up with a neat dashboard to show measurement of our accomplishments & ROI but, I don't even know where to begin. We are a small marketing department that is only providing marketing communications (electronic communications, pr, advertising, print materials, etc) for our district. I have some challenges getting information on revenue, attendance, registration, etc. We use RecTrac, but our IT department has not been very forthcoming in helping us learn how to use the reporting capabilities. I also have Google Analytics, but, I know I am not using it the way I should. If you have any thoughts on what I can do, I would love to get your input.
A: One recommendation is that you ask LERN to do a segmentation and carrier route analysis of your program. We can also do an analysis of your current programs using our program planning tool.

Regarding Google Analytics, I will do two things: a) have one of our consultants contact you to discuss how to use Google Analytics effectively and b) work with our education staff to set up a webinar on using Google Analytics.
