A: The concept for online course price breaks is no different from other types of courses. The same principles are at play.
1. You should not set a price on a price break. A course should be priced at $95, $99 or $115, not $100.
2. Prices should not end with a zero
Pricing online courses, of course, has its own considerations. Like face to face courses, you should price based on meeting income objectives and achieving an operating margin of approximately 50%. In some instances, programs do pay more for prep time for an online course, and this needs to be calculated into the price.
