Q: Can LERN provide a general rule of thumb in terms of selecting a payment amount for community education instructors.  In other words, is it better to pay them a percentage of each enrollment or a flat hourly rate? 

A: I have attached our report on how to pay instructors for your information. As you will see, there are a variety of ways to pay instructors, depending upon the type of class you are offering. In general, we do not recommend a percentage, as you will see in the report. An hourly rate or flat fee is most typical.
