Q: We are seeking resources for adult education instructors who know their subject but may not have taught before. We are looking for information on Generational Learning Styles, best teaching practices for face2face instructors.
A: Thank you for your request for information about resources for your instructors. We have three publications that would be very useful for your instructors:
1. How to Teach Adults by William Draves. This is a classic on how adults learn and effective strategies for teaching. It has sold over 100,000 copies.
2. Generational Learning Styles by Julie Coates. This book is a critically acclaimed publication on generational learning and strategies for teaching. It has been used as a text in college classrooms, but is very accessible to non-academics.
3. A Pedagogy for the 21st Century, by William Draves and Julie Coates. This is an excellent resource for learning styles of Gen Y. Although it is not as broadly applicable as the other two publications, it contains a wealth of useful information.
We do have discounted rates for orders of multiple copies. If any of these publications seem to be in keeping with what you are looking for, let me know. We can provide you with cost information based on the number that you need.
