Question:

  1. 1. Are there any other survey/evaluation data collection software sites out there other than Survey Monkey and for less money?
  2. Any articles you can send me as to how to assemble your own survey and/or evaluation instrument to be used for recreational/educational classes?
  3. Any other tips, trends or strategies that would help us standardize the form our city uses to gain customer comments/input after they have partaken in our city community service program (Arts, Libraries, Museums, Recreation and Social Services) ?

Answer:

Online research found the following site which compares ten programs: http://survey-software-review.toptenreviews.com/. Of the options reviewed there, Fluid Surveys ranked highest in the greatest number of categories. This might be a place for you to start looking. I can also do a survey of our members to see what others might be using if this would be of value to you.

One option for you to consider is to create your own "fillable form" online. It is possible to create pdf documents online that allow your participants to fill in information. Many web platforms also have the ability to create webforms which can be incorporated into your website.

I would be happy to review your evaluation form and make recommendations for how to make it more effective. If you would like to set up a time to discuss this question, just let me know. I would also be happy to design a survey for you, using Survey Monkey to help you create an effective online survey intstrument. Our Director of Marketing, Katie Morin, can provide you with information about creating your own online evaluation form and let you know what you would need in order to do this.
