Q: Joe & I have an electrical instructor that was working with us this past summer. He has been working with a business that is interested in some online training. John, the instructor, developed a sample online of his electrical training and shared with the company. They may have possibilities of taking this overseas..our question is have you had experience with this…where do we start with pricing, etc, Potential to have several trainings online.. Options we discussed: - Online key for the students (employees) to access the training - Or do we sell the package ( then they have access to train as many people as they wish )
A: Greg Marsello forwarded your question about online courses to me. Bill Draves, the LERN consultant on online education will have a response for you within a few days. One option for you to discuss with Bill is whether our UgotClass online course platform would be useful in your scenario. LERN partners with member organizations to offer courses online. These are promoted by the LERN membership as well as by you or any of your clients. You set the fees, which we can advise you on. Either you or LERN can handle registrations. LERN receives a small percentage of the income and you receive the rest. We think this might be more beneficial to you than selling your package. You retain ownership of the content and earn income on every registration. Let me know if this sounds like something you would like to pursue. If not, we are also happy to advise you on how to price and manage your course independently. Thanks for asking.
