A: For almost any survey, the rule is the shorter the better. People want to be able to respond quickly, LERN recommends asking 3 or 4 questions and using a simple response system like the one you have indicated (Likert scale, multiple choice, Yes/No). You have the right idea, but think about whether five levels of response (Yes, Likely, Undecided, Unlikely, No) are really going to help you or if you could gain what you need with only three - Likely, Undecided, Unlikely. You are not asking for a commitment to a class from this survey, so are Yes and No answers necessary? Keep it simple and convenient for people to complete the survey. To keep the number of questions per survey down, you could target the surveys - in other words, one for classes related to finances (Writing Your Children's Book, Getting Paid to Talk, How to Stage Your Home) versus leisure (How to Apply Makeup, Online Dating, French for Travelers) etc.
