Marketing Wording

Q: Can you send me the “guarantee” wording you would recommend we include in our marketing?

A: LERN recommends that you offer a money-back guarantee for your courses. Here is some sample wording:

We guarantee your satisfaction with our courses. If you are not satisfied, you may receive a (here you can put either a credit which you can use toward another course, or a full refund of your course fee, less $X processing fee [typically 10 to15%].

You should monitor your refund rate carefully. If you notice a high rate of refund requests (more than 3-4%) for any course, you should explore and correct the reasons for dissatisfaction with that course.

You should also monitor carefully the evaluations for your courses. If you find you are received refund requests for courses otherwise rated very highly, you will want to explore with the person who is dissatisfied, the reason for their request. It may be that your course description needs to be more precise or that you need to let people know additional information that will help them know whether the class is right for them.
