Mailing Timelines for Promotions

Q: Based on the following statement in best practices and what I heard at the exec leadership conference, I would like to know if there is a printed list of mailing timelines and where to find it /  “Follow Timelines. Promotions cannot be late. Course catalogs, seminars andconferences, certificate programs, and so on, all have proven mail dates that must be followed.

A: As you are aware, the mailing timelines depend upon the types of classes/courses or events you offer. For open enrollment and general interest courses, your participants should receive the brochure  7-8 weeks before classes begin. For locally held seminars and events as well as certificate programs and professional development, the brochure should go out about 14 weeks before the event or first course. For conferences, six months out should be the target for at least the preliminary marketing piece. If you are offering summer camps, the brochures for those should go out in February.

LERN's recommended timetables are included in the attached Word document.  Please let us know if we can help in any other ways.
