How do they handle risk of acknowledgement? Do they have separate riders on their insurance, or does their regular insurance cover it? Etc. What types of liability waivers do students sign- especially for exercise/outdoor class and for students under age 18.
A: Questions of liability are complex, and generally require a legal interpretation. While many institutions ask that participants sign waivers of liability, these are not always enforceable. Your best option for determining your institution's liability insurance situation would be to talk with your institution's legal team.
