How Much Should We Spend on Marketing?

Q: We are hoping that you can help up by providing answers to the following:

What percentage of the continuing education budget should be spent on marketing?
What percentage of gross annual income should be spent on marketing?

 

A: The LERN financial format recommends that between 10% and 15% of revenue generated by your courses be allocated to marketing.  For contract training programs the percentage is 0% to 5%. Please let me know if we can answer any additional questions.
