Last summer, we announced 3 additional certificates to be offered for optional graduate credit. One year in, and students are loving it! There are currently 16 UGotClass courses and certificates that are available as elective graduate credits through the University of South Dakota including many of our courses for K-12 Teachers. This is great for your department for a number of reasons.

1. Many businesses will pay for training for employees if there is credit offered.
   LERN and The University of South Dakota also offer a joint Master degree program. 

2. Many people want/need credit. This opens a new market for you.
3. There’s no extra work for you and your staff!

Instructions for registering for the available credit is available in the classroom. Students pay an additional fee of $40/credit directly to USD to be entered in their system, have their UGotClass coursework evaluated and graded, and receive an official transcript in the mail from USD. To promote this option, just add “Optional graduate credit available from the University of South Dakota.” to your course description.
