UGC 101: What happens when LERN Staff takes my registrations?

If you are unable to take registrations for UGotClass courses through your own system, we're happy to help you out!  We will make online registration available on your UGotClass Custom Weblink so that students have the option to register online or by phone.

When a student registers online, a confirmation email is sent to both the student, and UGotClass staff (see below).  We use this student information to add them into our Administrative Site.  From there, we will send an email to the student (copying your primary contact) to let them know when they can expect to receive their invitation to join the classroom.

If a student chooses to register by phone, the first thing that we ask is which of our partnering organizations referred them to us to make sure you receive every possible student enrollment. If the student is unable to provide a partnering organization's name, we ask where they saw our contact information.  If the student happened to stumble across our phone number on the LERN website or another place not associated with any of our partners, we connect them with the closest geographic partner based on their home address. We will then send your primary contact an email to give them the name, email address, and course(s) of the student.

All registered students are invited to join their classrooms on the Wednesday before courses begin.  Registration remains open on the webpages until the Friday after courses begin. For example, if courses begin on Monday the 6th, online registration for that session will disappear on Friday the 10th. It's important to know that online registration will not automatically issue students an invitation to join the classroom, so students registering outside of normal business hours can expect to receive their invitation during the next business day. Any registrations that come in during business hours are typically entered within 2 hours of receipt.

Typically, you and your staff won't need to have any contact with the students. LERN staff handles all aspects of registration, payment, and student support. As your students near the end of their courses, you can expect to receive a check for your portion of the student enrollment fee. That's all there is to it! You don't need to send us an invoice. We will simply calculate your share, cut the check, and mail it out to you.
