UGC 101 Blog Header - The UGotClass Classroom

Our UGotClass classroom was custom built for LERN with the best practices in online learning and teaching in mind.  We incorporate content, collaboration, and assessment into all of our courses.  Our courses are all asynchronous, meaning that the students do not need to log in at any specific time during the day to meet with their instructor and classmates.  Our courses are divided into weekly units (Monday-Sunday).

Students use this toolbar to navigate between the different areas of the classroom. Students use this toolbar to navigate between the different areas of the classroom.

Students can log in at any time during the week that is convenient for them; we recommend planning to log in 2-3 times each week, but students are welcome to do whatever works best for them. Their instructor will be present in the discussion area of the classroom regularly to answer questions and foster discussion within the learning community.

On their own time, students will watch pre-recorded presentations from their instructor, look over the reading assignments the instructor has posted, and test their knowledge with a self-quiz each week.
