We know that your students love to receive a brochure by mail from you. Up to 70% of your students decide to register after looking at your print brochure, so it's important to make sure you get it right. Here are the top suggestions that we have for you when you are adding UGotClass courses to your print brochure.
A partner used this advertisement in their print brochure and didn't receive a single registration. There just isn't enough information for a student to decide if they want to take one of these courses.
1. Run course descriptions and logistics - just like you do for your F2F courses. People want to know more about the course than the name can provide them. No "ads"! Students want to see the course dates, a short description, and the instructor's name.
2. No need to say LERN or UGotClass. Your students probably don't want to learn another acronym before they even register. Just say "Online" and then send further information to student that register or ask for more information on the course.
3. Integrate UGotClass courses into your brochure by subject instead of adding an Online category to your brochure. It's important to students to find what they are looking for easily. Students interested in "Dementia Care" probably aren't going to think to look in the Online section of your brochure; they'll be looking at your F2F Health courses. Put UGotClass's "Mastering Microsoft Excel" next to your F2F Microsoft Office courses and "Certificate in Data Analysis" with your other Business Skills courses. This makes your program look more robust, and it helps your students find what they want.
4. Feature our Certificates in your print brochure. You have a limited amount of space; advertising a certificate is like advertising 3 courses, but it only takes up the space of one. Post a short certificate description, and then post the 3 course names below.
5. List the next two offerings of the course. Then, when students see a course or certificate they want to take but missed the registration deadline, they'll know that they still have a chance to take the course. An alternative is to say "This course will also be available in [June], [August], and [November]."
