Create a Fidget Box
Boys need to fidget. They fidget to help them stay alert and involved. They do NOT fidget as a sign of being unmotivating or distracted.
Every child also likes being able to choose, and variety.  So Corinne Buckles of Henderson, Nevada, recommends a "Fidget Box" for programs working with boys. We add for parents of boys too.
Get a box and put a variety of fidgeting objects to put in it.  Choose ones that don't disturb others.  Squeeze balls in the shape of animals (or not), play dough, doodle pads with choice of pen, pencil or colored crayons or markers, and more.
Twenty percent of girls also fidget, so of course make the Fidget Box available to your girls or daughter/s.
