Good news! Registration income for Recreation Departments was very good this year. About what we at LERN want to see.

With 40 percent of Recreation Departments reporting registration income UP over last year, that is great news.  In some of the last five years, we have seen only 30-35 percent of Recreation Departments reporting income up.  The 40 percent figure is healthy and positive.

Even better, seeing only 26 percent of Recreation Departments reporting income down is also the “ideal” or best case scenario for the field.  While the 26 percent figure is not really better than in previous years, it is still the norm and what we at LERN want to see this number at.

The numbers are also much better than those reported by lifelong learning programs in other institutional settings this fall.
