A: Lori, Here's a general response to your question. Tell us more about your online classes, and we can target our reply better. Online certificates are hot, profitable. They will probably become the biggest source of profit for c.e. in the coming years. Work related online courses overall are doing well. There are hits, and misses, like any c.e. topic, but overall doing well and growing. Avocational online courses. Mostly too early for leisure online courses given the economy in the United States. Future growth area. If you promoting online courses developed by a third party vendor, such as Ed2Go or UGotClass (us at LERN), look at the top sellers and begin with those. If you are developing an online course or certificate, look at work related niches where there is nothing currently being offered. As for subjects, again they vary by popularity, just like F2F classes. But health, technology, management, starting a business, and green are all currently popular.
