Instructor Salaries

Q: When Greg was here teaching the Certified Program Planner Course he talked about limiting the amount of work assigned to any one individual instructor to a certain percentage. I am looking through my notes and cannot find his recommendation. Do you know where I can find this? I want to develop a policy around that recommendation.

A: I spoke with Greg Marsello, and there appears to be some confusion about his comments. What he typically tells people is LERN's recommendation that instructor salaries not exceed 40% of income--making it more likely that they will achieve a healthy operating margin. We don't have any specific guidelines about how much one instructor should teach. If this is not what you are looking for, let me know, and I will dig deeper.
