Q: Does LERN have a count of how many community education programs currently exist in the US and where the largest concentration of them can be found?

A: "Community Education" is a term that describes programs offered by many types of organizations including schools, colleges, universities, health care organizations, political organizations, museums,  botanical gardens, and more. Thus, answering your question accurately is difficult. If by community education programs you mean those programs offered to the general community through public schools, the best source of information would be the National Community Education Association.  Although NCEA is restructuring, there is a list of state affiliates and this might give you the information you are seeking.

If you are looking for community education more broadly defined, the best source is likely to be the US Department of Education and/or the National Center for Education Statistics.
