Over the last 10 years, many continuing and community education programs have been pushed hard to shift from the Industrial Age to the Information Age. One of most significant differences is the need to become and remain financially self-sufficient. This does not mean mission is unimportant, but instead you cannot have mission without money. This past week I was working with staff at Northwest Iowa CC on the shift they are going through. Lots of good decisions regarding staffing structure, pricing, marketing, contract sales, and much more.
Dr. Alethea Stubbe, NCC’s President, is both committed to and engaged in supporting the transition. Leadership from the top makes a big difference.
