Robert Stephens, Internet pioneer and founder of the Geek Squad, is no stranger to innovation.

At age 24, he founded the Geek Squad in 1994. Best Buy acquired the Geek Squad in 2002, and grew its Geek Squad force to more than 20,000 employees before Stephens left the company in 2012 to start something new.  

The former Best Buy Chief Technology Officer will be looking at the next innovative trend when he delivers the general presentation, "Beyond Social Networking: The Sharing Economy," at the LERN Annual Conference, Nov. 21-23 in San Francisco. 

Also known as the collaborative economy, the sharing economy and collaborative consumption will not only disrupt many businesses, but create new opportunities for continuing education, lifelong learning and many others. 

Stephens will share his bet on the biggest trend of the coming decade. He'll argue that Groupon, AirBnB, OpenTable, ZipCar, Uber, and many others are all the same type of company and how their models will create new opportunities.
